Job summary
Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts in Whittier seeks a Project Engineer: Engineering Associate II, III - Civil Engineer to support capital planning and budgeting activities within the Budget and Finance Section, Joint Administration Office.
Under supervision, you will collect information, develop capital improvement plans, build budgets, and analyze long-term financial projections while coordinating with consultants and other departments to maximize value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or master's degrees in engineering or related science per options.
- EIT certificate or P.E. license may be required for progression.
- 2+ years of engineering experience may qualify for Associate levels.
Responsibilities
- Assist in capital project management and CIP software enhancements.
- Develop prioritized capital improvement plans and funding strategies.
- Build budgets, quarterly reports and long-term projections.
- Collaborate across departments to optimize asset investment planning.
- Review consultant/vendor work and suggest procedural improvements.
