Capital Project Manager

Critical Business Analysis, Inc. (CBA) has an immediate need for an experienced, full-time Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale construction projects across the continental United States. This position is site-based, meaning the selected individual will be stationed at active project sites and is expected to travel and relocate temporarily as projects begin and close.

The successful candidate will lead all project phases from planning through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals are achieved. This role requires strong field presence, technical acumen, and proven success managing multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors for general contracting or EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative responsible for total project delivery, including safety, scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Manage all phases of project execution: preconstruction, design coordination, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Lead subcontractor selection, contract administration, change management, RFIs, and pay applications.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, integrating field progress and resource leveling.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and industry best practices at all times.
  • Direct and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain alignment and resolve field issues.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to on-site staff, superintendents, and field engineers.
  • Track financial performance and forecast project costs to control budgets proactively.
  • Produce and present weekly and monthly progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and field experience).
  • Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager within the general contracting industry.
  • Proven ability to lead projects valued between $10 million and $100 million+ of industrial or large commercial projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction means and methods, drawings, specifications, and industry codes.
  • Strong proficiency in project management and construction software tools, such as Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Must be self-directed, organized, and capable of managing multiple active projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently or relocate temporarily to project sites across the continental U.S.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and fluent in English.
Additional Expectations

This is a traveling, site-based position. The successful candidate will work where the projects are located, with long-term assignments at various construction sites nationwide. This role requires the flexibility and commitment to relocate between project sites as each new project begins.
