Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Capital Planning Engineer to influence expansion projects in Boise, Idaho and Clay, NY. You will perform financial analysis, model scenarios, and drive SAP/Excel-based planning processes to support multi-billion-dollar capital investments.

The role collaborates with Finance, Procurement, Planning, and Engineering to ensure accurate budgets and timely reporting. A STEM or business degree and 2+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, capacity management, finance, or capital planning.
• Strong knowledge of financial metrics, budgeting processes, and capital planning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and lead capital investment scenarios and summarize financial impacts for decisions.
• Validate capital assumptions and budget justifications through planning cycles.
• Lead site capital planning processes including reviews and savings initiatives.
• Report financial risks and project updates across cross-functional teams.
