Job summary

Latham & Watkins LLP in New York is seeking a Public Relations Manager – Capital Strategies to join the Brand & Communications team. You will develop and execute media strategies for private credit, banking, capital markets, and related practices, elevating the firm’s profile and market leadership.

The role emphasizes proactive media engagement, strategic writing, and collaboration with digital teams to amplify campaigns, awards, and insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
7+ years of experience in media relations or corporate communications.
Total of 10+ years of cumulative professional experience.
Experience in financial services, capital markets, investment banking, private credit, or related sectors.
Proven success developing media strategies and securing coverage in business, financial, legal, and trade media.

Responsibilities

Drive proactive media engagement and build relationships with business and trade media.
Identify opportunities for partner interviews, speaking engagements, and market commentary.
Collaborate with social media and digital teams to amplify campaigns and awards.
Own strategic writing projects: press releases, deal announcements, talking points, messaging.
Monitor market developments and advise on opportunities to showcase insights.
