Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a data-driven Automation Analyst to design, maintain, test, and support business automation and reporting solutions in a banking operations context.

The role collaborates with SMEs to improve processes, develops SDDs for maintenance, and creates specs for UAT. It requires VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI, or Power Apps proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, operations, or analytics.
• Proficient coding with VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI, or Power Apps.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets operations such as broker-dealer or FX.
• Ability to analyze processes and document requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, documentation, testing, and risk practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business SMEs to automate processes and reduce operational risk.
• Design and implement automation solutions leveraging available technologies.
• Support code development with SDD for maintenance and third-party support.
• Develop requirement specs and UAT strategies for identified solutions.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and document VBA, Python, Power BI, and Power Apps tools.
• Provide production support during normal business hours and coordinate issue resolution.
• Report operational metrics and insights to identify improvements.
• Communicate status, risks, and blockers to stakeholders and partners.
• Apply documentation, source control, testing, and change management standards.
