Job summary

Truist is seeking a capable Automation/BI specialist to design, maintain, test, and support business automation and reporting solutions, enabling operational efficiency. You’ll work with VBA, Python, Power BI, Power Apps, and Excel within a banking environment, and collaborate across teams to map processes and deliver measurable improvements.

You will support production runs, document changes, and participate in Agile development cycles, ensuring security and risk controls are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with focus in business/tech field.
• 2–4 years in banking/financial services or related roles.
• Proficiency in VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI or Power Apps.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets ops or client onboarding is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, testing, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business SMEs to automate processes and reduce operational risk.
• Design and implement technical automation solutions for processes.
• Support development during Agile sprints and create design documents.
• Develop specs and UAT strategies for identified solutions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VBA tools, Python scripts, Power BI dashboards, and Power Apps workflows.
