Job summary

RSM US LLP in Chicago seeks an Assurance Manager to join our Capital markets practice, focusing on broker-dealer clients. You’ll lead audit teams, apply GAAP/GAAS, and manage client relationships with a focus on quality and efficiency.

You’ll mentor staff, coordinate audits, and partner with engagement teams to deliver timely, high-quality financial statements and disclosures. A CPA/CA and 5+ years in public accounting are required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• CPA or CA Certification required.
• 5+ years in public accounting with leadership experience.
• Experience with GAAP/GAAS and IFRS is desirable.
• Strong client service and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations across audits.
• Assess risk and design audit procedures; communicate to engagement teams.
• Lead multiple engagement teams and manage end-of-engagement evaluations.
• Develop staff through coaching and feedback; monitor performance.
• Travel up to 25% of the year, depending on clients.
