Job summary

Generate Capital in New York seeks anAssociate, Capital Markets to join a small, analytical team focused on sourcing, structuring, modeling, and executing transactions with external capital partners.

You will work across capital markets to raise equity and debt, build and present data to investors and lenders, and help optimize the company’s capital stack while collaborating with development, finance, and asset management teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of rigorous financial modelling experience and a strong understanding of GAAP accounting.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce or DealCloud a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic achievement.

Responsibilities

• Support capital formation analyses, planning, strategy, and execution.
• Prepare materials for investors, lenders, banks, and rating agencies.
• Build sophisticated financial models to back capital formation priorities.
• Collaborate with development, acquisitions, finance, and asset management teams.
• Monitor markets and convey insights to leadership.
