Job description

CAZ was founded in 2001 with the backing of some of the most respected and successful families in the state of Texas. Since our inception, we have focused our efforts on finding excellent opportunities to invest our personal money and then providing the ability for our global network of investors to co-invest with us. We exist to provide Exclusive Access to Unique Alternatives.

We recently grew our ownership consortium to include several veterans in financial services as well as the world’s leading life and business strategist, Tony Robbins. Robbins was thrice named to the WORTH 100 most influential people in the world of global finance. His two financial books, Money: Master the Game and Unshakeable, were both #1 New York Times Bestsellers. Robbins’ latest book, The Holy Grail of Investing, co-authored with our Chairman and CIO, Christopher Zook, recently became a #1 New York Times Bestseller as well. Robbins’ private financial events often feature speakers like Paul Tudor Jones, Ray Dalio, Jeff Gundlach, Hank Paulson, Alan Greenspan, and others.

We are quite different than the vast majority of other investment management companies in multiple ways. First, we always invest our personal capital alongside our Investors. We have more than $650mm of our personal capital committed to our investment vehicles. We provide access to our Investors to co-invest with us in these vehicles, which we believe provide the best opportunities for our families’ and our Shareholders’ money. Second, because of the scale of our investments, we have access to opportunities that would otherwise not be available to investors with less than $250mm - $500mm of investable assets. Quite simply, there are many investments we can provide for our investors they could never access on their own. Third, and what we believe is the most unique feature of our Firm, almost all of our compensation is earned only if an investor makes money. In many cases, if our Investors do not make money, we don’t get paid. This ultimate alignment of interests is why we focus on finding the absolute best risk/reward opportunities available.

Capital Formation Associate “ISM Associate”

The Capital Formation Associate (ISMA) plays a vital role within our Capital Formation Team, which is dedicated to expanding and strengthening our capital base among Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Family Offices, and High Net Worth individuals. In this position, you will work closely with Senior Capital Formation Team member and their Teams (“Pods”), providing essential support to maintain existing client relationships and assisting with projects aimed at identifying and cultivating new partnership opportunities. Over time, you will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility by managing and prospecting your own relationships, contributing directly to the growth and success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively support the management of ongoing relationships with investors, as led by a Senior Capital Formation Team member.
  • Demonstrate keen attention to detail and a commitment to seeing every task through to completion, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Tackle ambiguous situations with confidence, thinking creatively and strategically to find solutions and add value at every stage.
  • Utilize your own initiative and resourcefulness to leverage personal and professional networks in identifying and connecting with new prospective investors.
Success as an Associate in the Capital Formation Team Will Be Measured By Your:
  • Mastery of the firm’s processes and your capacity to act as a force multiplier for Senior CFs by anticipating needs and delivering results.
  • Willingness to collaborate across Teams, bringing energy and follow-through to every project, and contributing to the success of the entire firm.
  • Initiative in taking ownership of projects, demonstrating resilience and confidence in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
Requirements:
  • 1–2 years of experience in a relationship management or business development role (or a supportive role) within a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
  • Proactive, outgoing personality with the confidence to engage and build rapport with diverse groups, both one-on-one and in larger settings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for seeing tasks through to completion—follow-through is a core strength, not an afterthought.
  • Comfort working in gray areas and tackling ambiguous challenges with creativity and determination.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic, eager to own projects and contribute to a culture of excellence and accountability.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base salary will be commensurate with experience
  • Bonus opportunities will be tied to effectiveness, measured by a periodic goal-setting process, with the amount of opportunity depending on value-added to the organization and firm profitability
  • Participation in our matching 401k plan
  • We offer a generous PTO plan, along with an excellent benefits portfolio
