Job summary

REV Renewables, an LS Power company, is seeking an execution-oriented procurement professional to lead capital equipment procurement for utility-scale storage and solar projects in North America.

The role spans demand forecasting, issuing RFIs/RFPs, contract management, and strategic supplier initiatives, partnering with Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Finance, Tax and Legal across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of ten years’ direct experience procuring capital equipment, preferably for utility-scale BESS, solar and wind projects.
• Knowledge of BESS, solar and wind power projects. Familiarity with challenges and trends in the renewable industry.
• Knowledge of project milestones for large power projects.
• Strategic thinker with ability to creatively solve problems and generate competitive advantage for the organization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Excellent negotiation skills and strong knowledge of the capital equipment supply base.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Engineering and Construction teams on procurement activities for utility-scale storage and solar projects.
• Manage the strategic sourcing process for capital equipment.
• Build sourcing strategies with market intelligence, supplier shortlist, risk assessment and commercial analysis.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigations for the category and contract.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Construction on Technical Specifications.
• Execute RFIs & RFPs, issue the RFP and lead supplier communications.
• Lead the RFP commercial evaluation and coordinate with Engineering and Construction on technical evaluation.
• Summarize bid results and make an award recommendation.
• Negotiate the final contract in coordination with Development, Engineering and Legal.
• Monitor supplier manufacturing milestones and coordinate QA scope with third parties.
