Job summary

Velo3D in Fremont, CA, is seeking a Capital Equipment Supervisor to lead the Capital Equipment team, balancing hands-on maintenance with people leadership to keep additive manufacturing equipment reliable and productive.

You will supervise technicians, drive preventive maintenance, coordinate safety training, manage schedules, and partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality to meet production goals while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in manufacturing maintenance.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Strong safety culture and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Lead Capital Equipment Technicians, Capital Equipment Technicians, and Process Technicians.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching; address concerns with guidance.
• Coordinate onboarding and training; ensure required safety training is completed.
• Manage schedules, attendance, vacation coverage, and timecard approvals.
• Allocate personnel/resources to support production priorities and equipment needs.
• Communicate status and priorities to management and cross-functional teams.
