Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Capital Analyst to support regulatory capital models and external rating agency submissions. You will collaborate with Risk, Finance, Actuarial, and Reinsurance teams to analyze results and present insights to decision-makers.

The role emphasizes BSCR and Bermuda filings, with exposure to S&P, AM Best, and Fitch methodologies. Strong Excel skills and detail-oriented analysis are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with insurance regulatory capital frameworks and rating models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Bermuda Solvency filings (BSCR) data preparation, validation, and documentation.
• Own components of the BSCR process and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Prepare Bermuda Monetary Authority filings (GSSA) and articulate solvency position.
• Assist in capital models for S&P, AM Best, Fitch; coordinate data requests.
• Analyze outputs to identify drivers of change in capital metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Actuarial, and Ceded Reinsurance to gather inputs.
• Perform ad hoc capital scenario analysis to inform Board decisions.
