• Use hand and power tools; learn capillary service equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate with office and field teammates and write or participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Participate in training on other product lines and follow BlueFin health, safety, environmental (HSE), and quality requirements.

Job Summary

Start your oil and gas career in capillary services with BlueFin Production Services. We are seeking a mechanically inclined Service Technician for the Midland/Odessa area. No prior experience is required. Under close supervision, you will support crews working with capillary tubing and downhole chemical injection systems, service equipment, and participate in training. This field role supports well production through safe job execution on land and offshore assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with capillary tubing installation and retrieval and associated spooling activities, following crew direction, work plans, and procedures.
• Service, maintain, repair, and test equipment and tools in the shop and before and after jobs.
• Load and unload equipment; help install and test manifolds and support assigned pressure-testing tasks.
• Use hand and power tools, learn capillary service equipment, and help identify and troubleshoot job issues.
• Communicate with office and field teammates and write or participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Participate in training on other product lines and services and follow BlueFin health, safety, environmental (HSE), and quality requirements.

Experience and Education

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required; mechanical aptitude is required.
• Ability to work with basic hand and power tools and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English for work instructions, safety information, and collaboration with team members.
• Reliable transportation to and from the BlueFin office.

Physical Requirements

• Work on land assignments, with travel throughout the United States.
• Extensive travel and overnight stays for extended periods may be required.
• Be available for 24-hour call, except during scheduled PTO.
• Work in harsh environmental conditions and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check, drug screen, Fit for Duty evaluation, and/or physical.
