Job summary

Sterling Specialty Chemicals US LLC is seeking a Sr Project Manager, AMER, to lead capital projects across our Houston operations. You will oversee projects from initial concept through commissioning, coordinating with plant leadership, engineering, operations, and procurement to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

The role emphasizes CAPEX budgeting, cost control, contractor management, and regular status reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of project management, engineering, or capital project experience in chemical manufacturing or similar environment.
• PMP certification or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage CAPEX projects from concept through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and execution plans.
• Prepare justifications and documentation for CAPEX approval.
• Oversee RFPs for engineering services, contractors, and equipment suppliers; manage bids and supplier selection.
• Track spending and provide forecasts; identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate activities to minimize disruption to plant operations and ensure proper project documentation.
