Job summary

ZIEHL-ABEGG, a world-leading fan and motor manufacturer, seeks a Production Development Engineer in Winston‑Salem, NC. You will coordinate CapEx projects and drive process improvements to boost production efficiency and capacity, overseeing equipment from concept to commissioning.

You will collaborate across Production, Planning, Logistics, Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement teams to develop ROI analyses, SOPs, and Cre o CAD components, optimizing flow and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean manufacturing experience required; Six Sigma or continuous improvement preferred.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and risk analysis methodologies.
• Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, ProALPHA) and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CapEx projects from initiation through completion.
• Plan, source, procure, and commission new production equipment with local sourcing.
• Analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to meet targets.
• Develop productivity plans and long-term improvement strategies, including ROI calculations.
• Source spare parts and monitor levels; seek cost savings.
• Collaborate across Production, Planning, Logistics, Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance, and CI teams.
• Manage multiple projects to meet timelines and budgets.
• Support equipment validation including FAT and commissioning.
• Create and maintain technical specs, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Design equipment components in CAD and ensure compliance with standards.
