Job summary

C.H. Robinson Worldwide is seeking a Capacity Portfolio Representative to blend inside sales, account management, and operations. You’ll grow and manage a portfolio of carriers, match the right truck with the right shipment, and deliver exceptional service.

The role emphasizes carrier relationships, pricing insight, and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. The position supports in-office collaboration four days a week with one remote day, offering a dynamic onboarding program

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience using customer perspective to guide decisions and actions.
  • Ability to persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate with others.
  • Strong decision-making, multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solutions-driven work using appropriate tools to evaluate and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain carrier relationships through lead generation, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Learn about carriers’ business goals, preferences, and capabilities to maximize relationships and satisfaction.
  • Monitor account activity, identify inactive or underutilized accounts, and take action to reactivate them.
  • Leverage technology such as automated booking products, C.H. Robinson’s carrier website, and mobile apps to enhance carrier satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Support Capacity Procurement.
  • Analyze freight market trends, seasonality, and supply-demand factors to make informed pricing decisions.
  • Use capacity analysis and internal costing tools to guide your buying and negotiating strategies.
  • Proactively post, negotiate, and secure available capacity to meet customer needs.
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service.
  • Provide outstanding service by addressing carrier issues promptly and implementing effective solutions.
  • Regularly review and act on carrier feedback to improve service.
  • Identify and recommend the best payment solutions for each carrier based on their needs.
  • Assist carriers with cash advances and resolve payable issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Execute Process Efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on shipment updates, problem resolution, and operational execution.
  • Maintain accurate transit load visibility and reinforce on-time pickup and delivery expectations.
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range $25.48 - $31.25 The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
