Job summary

American Greetings Corporation is seeking a Capacity Analyst to analyze, track, and report manufacturing capacity at a paper printing and converting facility. The role supports production planning and capital decision-making with visibility into capacity, constraints, and utilization across printing, converting, and packaging.

You will build capacity models, monitor bottlenecks, and create standardized reports and KPIs for plant leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop capacity models for printing presses, converting lines, and supporting operations.
• Analyze available vs required capacity based on forecasted demand, production schedules, labor availability, and equipment constraints.
• Identify bottlenecks, constraints, and capacity limitations across shifts, processes, and product families.
• Track capacity availability, utilization, efficiency, and throughput by asset, line, and department.
• Create and maintain standardized capacity reports, dashboards, and KPIs for plant leadership.
• Support weekly capacity reviews with the business or commercial unit, as well as monthly and ad-hoc capacity reviews, providing visibility into available capacity, constraints, and risks.
• Partner with Production Planning and Scheduling to align capacity with customer demand.
• Support scenario modeling for overtime, shift changes, outsourcing, or equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to understand equipment capabilities, change-over efficiency, and equipment rates.
• Provide data and analysis to support capital investment and capacity expansion decisions.
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and capacity utilization.
