Job summary

Overview

The Capability Coordinator is a critical, standardized role across our manufacturing facilities, responsible for building and sustaining plant capability through structured onboarding, training standardization, and workforce development.

As a key enabler of plant performance, the Capability Coordinator integrates Integrated Work System (IWS) principles, training systems, and continuous improvement practices to strengthen capability across manufacturing and warehouse teams. This role serves as a connector across Operations, Quality, Safety, and Business Excellence to ensure training translates into safe, reliable, and efficient execution on the floor.

Responsibilities

Monday-Friday

7AM-3PM

Training Systems & Program Management

  • Develop, maintain, and track training materials, including:
    • SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
    • JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses)
    • JSTs (Job Safety Trainings)
    • OPLs (One Point Lessons)
    • Training checklists and work instructions
  • Coordinate and schedule all training sessions, certifications, and continued education programs
  • Maintain centralized training documentation and ensure materials are current and aligned to standards
  • Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs to improve outcomes

Capability & Development Skills

  • Track and manage team member skills, certifications, and capability progression
  • Identify skill gaps and partner with leadership to build targeted development plans
  • Advise site leadership on workforce capability, readiness, and development needs
  • Align programs to plant performance, including true efficiency and cases handled per hour
  • Partner with line leadership to ensure training supports execution of Run to Target (RTT)

Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement

  • Track key performance indicators related to training effectiveness, onboarding success, and capability development
  • Drive continuous improvement of training systems, onboarding programs, and capability processes

People Leadership & Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with team members through coaching, feedback, and support
  • Deliver constructive feedback while maintaining a positive and inclusive team environment
  • Champion a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning across the plant
  • Support employee relations, communication, and engagement initiatives

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $54,700 - $82,050.

  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team‑building skills
  • Proven ability to organize work, lead others, and drive results
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or operations (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred, ideally demonstrated through a completed improvement project
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment
  • Ability to work off‑shifts and weekends as needed; occasional travel (less than 5%)
