Job summary

The Outreach Team in Charleston, SC is hiring canvassers and team leaders for full-time and part-time positions to support reproductive rights initiatives. Shifts run from 12 p.m.–8:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends, with overtime pay and bonuses for referrals.

Positions start at $21/hour for canvassers and $23/hour for leaders, with immediate start available. Ideal candidates are passionate about progressive politics, have strong communication skills, and are eager to engage with the public to meet

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy.
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone.
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible.
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills.
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community.
• Prior canvassing experience is not required, but nice to have!

Responsibilities

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Deliver a compelling campaign message while meeting fundraising standards.
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills.
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day and debriefing with them at the end of the day.
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be safe and successful.
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work.

Community Canvassers and Team Leaders: Protect Reproductive Rights: Cause & Connect

Full-time & Part-time

We’re assembling a team to tackle one of the most urgent political challenges of our time. Reproductive rights have been under attack, but now more than ever the access to essential healthcare, including abortion services, is at risk. Our work supports the progressive movement at large building real lasting power to create change through face to face fundraising and building awareness.

Get paid well! Canvass positions start at $21/hour. Leadership positions start at $23/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals.

Locations: Charleston, SC

We are hiring immediately. Shifts run from 12 p.m.–8:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.
