Job summary

New York Chinese Alliance Church in Manhattan seeks a full-time Associate Pastor to shepherd the Cantonese congregation and advance the church's mission to worship, disciple, serve, and reach people for Christ.

The AP will assist the Senior Pastor in leadership, preaching, teaching, group ministries, and local/global mission efforts, with emphasis on emotional healthy spirituality and Cantonese-English bilingual ministry.

Qualifications

• Theologically trained with a Master of Divinity degree.
• 2–3 years of full-time pastoral experience after seminary.
• Fluent in reading and writing Chinese and English; Cantonese fluency; Mandarin understood.
• Current CMA accreditation or start licensing with the Metro District on staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Pastor in guiding the Cantonese congregation and implement the church's mission.
• Preach and teach in worship services and Bible studies as directed.
• Recruit, train, and support group ministry leaders and volunteers.
• Engage in local and global mission initiatives and pastoral care.
• Handle administrative duties and participate in staff and board meetings.
