Job summary

Fortress Nutrition is seeking a Beverage Canning technician to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-speed canning line equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will monitor production, ensure quality and safety compliance, and support overtime as needed.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years of machine operating experience, and the ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-speed canning line equipment (filler, seamer, packaging, shrink wrapper).
• Monitor production to ensure efficiency, quality, and minimal downtime.
• Act with urgency to quickly address line or equipment faults.
• Identify and escalation mechanical issues to Maintenance when needed.
• Follow all safety standards, GMPs, and sanitation practices.
• Support team operations through overtime as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• 3-day weekends (Friday-Sunday)

Training

• Monday - Thursday: 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM

What You\'ll Do

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-speed canning line equipment (filler, seamer, packaging, shrink wrapper)

What We\'re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of machine operating and troubleshooting experience

Must operate with a high sense of urgency at all times. This role requires constant monitoring of equipment and immediate response to machine faults or slowdowns. Failure to act quickly can stop the entire canning line. Individuals who are not attentive, proactive, and fast-moving in addressing issues will not be successful in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, or other regulated environments
• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
• Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs
• Bending, kneeling, climbing, and operating machinery
• Use of hands for handling tools, equipment, and controls

Pay & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $20.00+ per hour (with higher starting rates offered based on experience and qualifications)
• Late Shift Premium + $1.00
• Double Time Pay for 50+ hours/week + ANY weekend work
