Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Lab Technician to support cannabis lab production, including distillation, extraction, winterization, and product manufacturing. The role focuses on following SOPs, maintaining safety, and ensuring high-quality outputs.

Ideal candidates will have a science background and experience in regulated lab settings, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in teams while upholding lab integrity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or 4-year degree in biology, chemistry, or physics preferred.
• Prior production laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior experience in regulated environments preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment and cannabis plant materials for extraction.
• Operate intricate extraction equipment in accordance with SOPs.
• Process cannabis concentrates and extracts.
• Deliver on production goals, while focused on safety and quality.
• Produce product per recipes and SOPs, maintaining high quality standards.
• Clean and maintain extraction equipment and laboratory facility.
• Store supplies and equipment, dispose of waste according to guidelines, and keep lab areas sanitary and safe.
• Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware.
• Monitor production line and collect samples for analysis.
• Follow SOP and analytical procedures to meet GLP and GMP compliance.
• Record data in lab notebooks, databases, and test reports.
