Job summary

Smithers is seeking a Laboratory Analyst responsible for performing complex analytical testing on cannabis products using advanced instrumentation like HPLC, GC-MS, and ICP-MS. This role requires a strong technical skill set, adherence to state regulations, and the ability to maintain detailed records.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and at least 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience. This full-time position will involve working in a laboratory setting, contributing to quality assurance, and supporting operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in analytical laboratory testing, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Cannabis testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical testing of cannabis samples using designated instrumentation.
• Perform calibrations and routine maintenance on laboratory instruments.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports in accordance with SOPs.
• Maintain accurate chain-of-custody and testing documentation.
