Job summary

Firelands Scientific is seeking a Security Agent to safeguard the facility in Huron, OH. You will perform daily surveillance, routine patrols, inspections, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and law enforcement as necessary.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in security-related fields, 2+ years of security experience, and the ability to meet Ohio's armed security certifications. The position emphasizes compliance with state regulations and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Security, Criminal Justice, Police Science or related field.
• At least 2+ years in security or related training.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry and ability to follow state rules.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to security policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform routine perimeter checks inside and outside the facility.
• Monitor suspicious activity and report incidents to management and law enforcement.
• Maintain logs of visitors and secure transport of regulated materials.
• Coordinate with security Director, facilities, IT, and external agencies as needed.
