Job summary

Curaleaf is hiring an Extraction Technician in Ravena, NY, to lead solventless extraction and refining processes in a fast‑paced, safety‑conscious lab. You will handle biomass prep and operate hydrocarbon/CO2 extraction equipment in a C1D1 environment, collaborating with the lab team to meet production goals while maintaining GMP and SOP compliance.

The ideal candidate brings detail‑oriented, safety‑driven focus, plus strong documentation and inventory management skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of hydrocarbon extraction experience.
• Degree in related science or engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of SOPs and GMPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate solventless terpene extraction, short path distillation, and rotary evaporator equipment for refining cannabis oil.
• Follow SOPs and GMPs to ensure compliance and quality.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize extraction and refinement equipment for peak performance.
• Document batch records and track materials using CTS (e.g., MJ Freeway).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory with proper sterilization and storage of equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols when working with C1D1 equipment and hazardous materials (hydrocarbons, gases, solvents).
• Assist in daily manufacturing operations, supporting production goals and process improvements.
• Prepare and clean workspaces and equipment at start and end of extraction cycles.
• Cross-train in CIS extraction processes (winterization, filtration, biomass packing).
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to safety, efficiency, and compliance improvements.
• Support lab packaging and additional production tasks as needed.
