Job summary

Good Day Farm is hiring a Kitchen Tech I to assist in our kitchen producing edible marijuana products. This entry-level role supports leads, supervisors, and managers in daily operation of kitchen equipment and gummy production, while following strict SOPs and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, basic lab/manufacturing awareness, and at least a high school diploma with 1+ year in food handling.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and management, and to approach conflict constructively.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must understand and work within the laws governing the state medical marijuana program.
• Understanding of tasks required in a lab/manufacturing setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in food handling related field is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Carries out tasks accurately and follows SOPs, including general housekeeping.
• Sugaring Gummies: running sugar tumbler, sorting, quality control checks.
• Demolding Gummies.
• Depositing Gummies: set up/break down, depositing, swapping pistons, changing O-rings, troubleshooting, stirring.
• Receiving orders: stocking, FIFO, inventory checks.
• Packaging Gummies: hand packing, counting, check-weigh, band sealing.
• Follows and ensures strict safety procedures and safety checks.
• Flexibility to help in other Good Day Farm departments when needed.
• Operates kitchen machinery, follows safety protocols.
• Follows cleaning schedule/regimen.
• Keeps workspace well-stocked and resourced.
• Maintains kitchen small wares and equipment.
• Communicates effectively to address and handle situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
