Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a mid-level engineer to analyze OpenShift deployments and design practical solutions for CANES environments. You will work on Linux, Ansible automation, and integration tasks to keep clusters healthy and secure.

Day-to-day work includes understanding customer needs, testing new ideas, creating automation content, and authoring clear documentation for engineers and end users, with travel ~10% to remote labs as needed.

Qualifications

• At least five years of CANES experience.
• At least five years in IT systems design, development, integration and support.
• Two+ years with Enterprise Linux and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on waterfront platforms during all seasons.
• Must be able to work autonomously and solve complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and existing technical limitations.
• Identify technical solutions and test new ideas.
• Create Ansible automation content to speed OpenShift integration with CANES services.
• Document technical guidance for engineers and end users.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot deployed OpenShift clusters and applications.
• Propose updates to leverage new technology patterns.
