Job summary

Hawaiian Host Group in Honolulu is seeking a production associate to join the candy-making team. Under the direction of Production Managers, Supervisors, and Leads, you will operate and maintain equipment, ensure quality control, and adhere to safety and efficiency standards across the plant.

Daily tasks include selecting nuts on conveyor belts, weighing cartons to target weights, loading and moving trays, inspecting machine-wrapped cartons, packing, and keeping the production line clean.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience/training is required.
• Must provide TB certificate as required by Hawaii Dept. of Health.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Proficient in reaching, grasping, and handling tasks at machine pace.
• Reading instructions in English at high school level.
• Availability for weekend shifts and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Picks up candy rows from a moving conveyor and places them into trays with inserts and covers.
• Selects and places nuts on chocolate rows to meet quality standards on a moving conveyor.
• Inspects and sorts roasted nuts by color on a moving conveyor.
• Weights and packs cartons, stacks and loads cartons for transport to packaging line.
• Keeps the production line clean and clears jams; resets machines as needed.
