The Bazooka Companies, LLC, is seeking Part-Time Candy Operator Packers for our Moosic, PA production facility, which produces the iconic Ring Pop candy. Up to 24 hours per week. $15.00 per hour.

With iconic brands including Ring Pop, Push Pop, Bazooka Bubblegum, & Juicy Drop, BCB is one of the leading manufacturers & innovators of non-chocolate confections in the US.

The Candy Operator Packer performs various operations necessary for the continuous packaging of candy products, including operating machines, feeding, filling, forming, and closing operations.

We are currently looking to fill positions on all shifts. Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Operating production machines, supplying candy and materials as necessary, and monitoring operation for proper wrapping.
2. Cleaning jams from machines and cleaning parts such as wheels, guides, heat plates, etc.
3. Ensuring proper feeding of materials and maintaining wrapping feed during the process.
4. Performing minor machine lubrication.
5. Forming boxes or cartons to catch output directly from wrapping machines, and closing refilled boxes as required.
6. Manually feeding product through wrapping machines as needed.
7. Inspecting wrapped products, discarding substandard items, and sorting reusable items during downtime.
8. Forming boxes, loading with wrapped packages, adding inserts, and sealing boxes.
9. Preparing shipping cartons, loading filled boxes, and sealing with tape or staples.
10. Ensuring quality inspection to guarantee acceptable finished products.
11. Wearing gloves when handling unwrapped hard candy items.
12. Assisting in emergency shutdowns of equipment under emergency conditions.
13. Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to read, write, and understand oral instructions.
2. Previous production experience in a factory setting.
3. Experience in food production is strongly preferred.
