Job summary

SEA, Ltd is hiring for our Candle Testing Lab in Ohio. This is a temporary-to-permanent, full-time position with hours four days per week at 10 hours per day. The target pay is $19 per hour in a high fragrance environment. Hours are Sunday to Wednesday from 4:30 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. This is an in-laboratory, non-remote role. Ideal candidates will be on their feet for long periods, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable working with strong fragrance odors while following testing protocols and

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• This is an in-lab, on-site role.
• Must be able to handle strong fragrances in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Un-boxes, weighs and logs product test samples as they arrive.
• Performs sample setup in testing lab.
• Tests, observes and documents test samples per protocols.
• Performs general lab housekeeping (cleaning wax, HVAC filters, burn surfaces).
• Analyzes soot collection targets.
• Conducts flash-point testing.
• Photographs test samples.
• Catalogs, stores and disposes of test samples.

Job description

SEA, Ltd. is hiring for our Candle Testing Lab! This is a temporary to permanent role with full-time hours (4 days per week, 10 hours per day). The ideal candidates for these roles will enjoy working on their feet and will understand that this is a high fragrance environment. Pay is $19/hr.

Please note that the hours for this opportunity are as follows:

Sunday- Wednesday: 4:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Un-boxes, weighs and logs of product test samples as they arrive
• Performs sample setup in testing lab
• Tests, observes and documents test samples in accordance with required protocols
• Performs general housekeeping in the lab (cleaning wax off testing shelves and floor, cleaning HVAC filters, replacement of burn surfaces)
• Analyzes soot collection targets
• Conducts flash-point testing
• Photographs test samples
• Catalogs, stores and disposes of test samples

Position Requirements:

• Strong organizational, observation, written and verbal communication, and multi-tasking skills
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Access
• High school diploma

** This will be an in-laboratory opportunity (not remote)**

*MUST be able to handle strong and continuous fragrances*

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Ability to stand for 4+ hours per day
• Ability to handle exposure to high fragrance odors
