Job summary

Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Candidate Engagement Specialist to attract, evaluate, and secure qualified candidates for healthcare staffing nationwide. The role focuses on building pipelines, leveraging targeted outreach, and promoting competitive pay and benefits to attract top talent.

You will work with recruiters to ensure licensure and state requirements are met. The position operates during PST hours (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. PST).

Qualifications

  • 1 year of sourcing/recruiting experience, 2+ years preferred.
  • 1 year of office experience
  • Strong computer/technological skills using Microsoft Office and recruitment software/tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and sufficient experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attract and outreach to experienced candidates.
  • Highlight competitive pay, benefits, assignment variety, and the company’s reputation to appeal to candidates.
  • Determine experience, education, active licensure, and active certifications.
  • Develop a database of pre-qualified candidates for various regions and seasons.
  • Use Symplr CTM and Bullhorn to nurture candidate relationships.
  • Use external databases to mine and engage potential leads.
  • Collaborate with Recruiters and Account Managers to understand school/state requirements.
  • Ensure candidates meet specialty skills and licensure needs promptly.
  • Track handoffs and follow-up within 60 minutes.
  • Create and maintain candidate files with complete histories and documentation.
  • Complete SPIN Call docs, references, and education/certifications where applicable.
  • Capture date of availability and caseload preferences.
  • Confirm travel or local assignment details and recruiter hand-offs.
  • Coordinate with Support Team to round-robin hand-offs.
  • Align region/modality requirements and hot handoff sheets.
  • Maintain daily leadership tracking of engagement and weekly submissions.

BASIC PURPOSE

The Candidate Engagement Specialist is responsible to attract, evaluate, and secure highly qualified candidates efficiently, ensuring optimal staffing levels that align with client needs and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates to support the company's growth and reputation in a competitive market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Leverage targeted marketing and outreach strategies to connect with experienced candidates.
  • Highlight competitive pay, benefits, assignment variety, company reputation, and expansive support to appeal to candidates.
  • Determine experience, education, active licensure, active certifications.
  • Develop a database of pre-qualified candidates for various regions for different periods of the school year.
  • Use Symplr CTM and Bullhorn tools to nurture relationships with potential candidates.
  • Use external database platforms to mine and engage with potential leads.
  • Work closely with Recruiters and Account Managers to understand school and state requirements.
  • Ensure candidates meet specialty skills and licensure needs promptly.
  • Track handoffs
