Job summary

CharterCARE of Rhode Island in Providence, RI is seeking a dedicated Prior Authorization Supervisor to lead the preauthorization team for intravenous and oral chemotherapy, diagnostic imaging, and other cancer-related services.

You will coordinate with the hospital business office, finance, and physician practices, set priorities, and drive process improvements to ensure timely reimbursements. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Licensure not required.
• 3–5 years of experience in medical pre-authorization.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the prior authorization team for intravenous chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, diagnostic imaging and other preauthorization needs.
• Plan, prioritize work, organize resources and respond to payor requirements in a dynamic environment.
• Serve as liaison with the hospital business office, finance and billing, and CCMA physician practices.
• Lead the weekly call with the central business office and be the primary researcher for issues identified.
