Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, calibrate, clean, maintain and troubleshoot equipment
  • Clean, maintain and prepare supplies and work areas; assist with ordering and vendor coordination
  • Perform standardized biological, microbiological, or biochemical tests and analyses
  • Isolate, identify and prepare specimens for examination
  • Analyze experimental data; write reports and grant-related summaries
  • Participate in grant applications and manuscript preparation as required
  • Maintain detailed notebooks of all work activities
  • Monitor lab safety and compliance with SOPs
  • Stay current with relevant literature and research publications
  • May contribute to SOP development and design of advanced experiments
