Job summary

S.C. Department of Public Health in South Carolina is seeking an experienced data professional to support the Central Cancer Registry.

Under the Data Collection Manager, you will identify non-registry data sources, perform case finding, and ensure data quality in line with NPCR/NAACCR standards. You will manage WebPlus exports, REDCap workflows, and Tableau reporting, contribute to a monthly registrar newsletter, and participate in quality control studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant program experience.
• Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) credentials required; experience in lieu of degree considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify reportable cancer cases from non-registry sources and abstract records per NPCR/NAACCR standards.
• Coordinate follow-back activities with physicians and facilities to complete patient information.
• Manage WebPlus exports, REDCap data workflows, and Tableau reporting.
• Prepare monthly newsletter for state registrars.
• Conduct quality control studies including visual reviews and data edits.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
