Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• CTR certification within one year of hire.
• Knowledge of oncology coding systems and data abstraction.
• Experience with cancer registry databases and EHRs preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain detailed cancer patient records for registry.
• Abstract and code relevant information from medical records and reports to maintain the tumor registry.
• Track and follow patients diagnosed with malignancies throughout care continuum.
• Maintain the cancer registry database efficiently.
• Analyze cancer data to generate reports for internal/external stakeholders.
• Support accreditation, quality improvement, and research through accurate reporting.
• Educate healthcare staff on cancer data collection and coding standards.
