Job summary

South Puget Intertribal Planning Agency is seeking a Cancer Programs Engagement Coordinator to oversee cancer plan strategy implementation, lead all committee activities and engage new and existing tribal partnerships. The role focuses on CDC-funded cancer programs and works onsite at the Intertribal Planning Center in Shelton.

The position requires collaboration with SPIPA programs, strong writing and organizational skills, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders through grant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Human Services, Social Sciences or related field with three years professional work experience; or
• Associate’s level study with five years related work experience; or
• Comparable combination of education, training and professional work experiences.
• Experience with data collection, management and database development.

Responsibilities

• Convene Bi-Monthly Advisory Committee meetings and form work groups.
• Assist tribes in developing cancer plan and education materials.
• Develop education materials with coalition members and CDC-funded programs.
• Coordinate technical assistance for Advisory Committees.
• Plan and facilitate meetings, trainings and conferences with stakeholders.
• Communicate projected budget needs per grant deliverables and policy.
• Perform quality improvement reviews and report results to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain reports and dissemination products for staff and partners.
• Provide written and oral presentations of grant accomplishments when requested.
