Job summary

The Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center (MECCC) seeks a Project Manager of Cancer Outreach and Wellness Initiatives to lead community engagement, patient inreach, and program evaluation within the BOLD Cancer Wellness team.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Community Outreach & Engagement, you will coordinate multi-project activities, manage data collection, prepare regular reports, and collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and community partners to advance health equity.

Qualifications

  • Masters of Public Health or allied field preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of related project management and/or community outreach experience.
  • Experience supervising junior staff/volunteers.
  • Experience working with community partners on issues of public health and health equity.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to apply technology to resolve problems.
  • Outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while supporting multiple Community Outreach/Patient Engagement activities.
  • Outline goals, timelines and review progress at defined intervals.
  • Ability to liaise and develop strong working relationships with partners.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of Cancer Center community and patient engagement programming in line with MECCC goals.
  • Support outreach initiatives in the Cancer Center’s catchment area with BOLD, CAB partners, and Montefiore teams.
  • Coordinate psychosocial oncology programmatic, research and evaluation efforts.
  • Collect and maintain data on Community Outreach/Patient Engagement/BOLD activities and deliverables.
  • Assist in development of progress reports for Cancer Center, NCI, and Einstein IRB.
  • Prepare conference abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts as needed.
  • Represent the Cancer Center at internal meetings and community events.
  • Support the Cancer Center Community Advisory Board.
