Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Research Scientist to serve as a domain expert in cancer genomics, computational biology, and translational oncology within the OSUCCC research environment.

You will conceptualize, design, implement, evaluate, and direct independent and collaborative cancer research projects across tumor biology, molecular subtyping, cancer susceptibility, and multi-omics analyses.

Qualifications

• PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, or related field.
• Four or more years of genomics/molecular research experience.
• Translational experience is a plus.
• Ability to lead independent and collaborative cancer research projects.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and direct cancer genomics research projects.
• Develop hypotheses, experimental/analytical strategies, and workflows.
• Mentor junior investigators, postdocs, and staff; contribute to grant proposals.
• Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, reports, and presentations for conferences.
