Stony Brook University in New York invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Cancer Biology within the Department of Medicine and the Cancer Center. The incumbent will conduct cancer research and ensure that all experiments are carried out in accordance with university policies and procedures.

Key duties include performing research within the defined scope, analyzing data, contributing to literature searches, and assisting in manuscript preparation and grant writing as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required by Oct 31, 2026 in Genetics, Biology or closely related field.
• Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques including Western blot, RT-PCR, Immunoprecipitation and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation.

Responsabilités

• Within predetermined research scope, conduct research experiments in Cancer Biology.
• Collect and analyze data, including literature searches, to support studies.
• Assist in manuscript writing for publication and potential grant writing.
• Lab maintenance, including equipment upkeep and ordering supplies.
• Attend scientific conferences and meetings as needed.
