Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an Exercise Trainer to deliver and coordinate exercise interventions for cancer patients as part of a research study. You will conduct on-site and virtual training sessions, collaborating with the study team to ensure adherence to the protocol and participant safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science (or related field) and 0-1 years of experience; certification is preferred, especially with cancer patients or chronically ill populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field preferred.
• 0-1 years of related experience required.
• Certification of exercise training experience preferred.
• Experience with adult cancer patients and/or chronically ill patients preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct in-person and telehealth training sessions to support aerobic and resistance training.
• Follow established protocols and assist with implementation of the study protocol.
• Collaborate with investigators to adapt intervention to participant needs and study goals.
• Maintain communication with participants and staff via phone, email, text, and study meetings.
• Meet with study team to review progress, fidelity, and counseling strategies to maximize adherence.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Complete other study-related tasks as assigned.
• Ensure a safe training environment and maintain equipment.
