Pay Range: $27.47 - $43.27 per hour

Summary:

The Cancer Center Access & Capacity Analyst supports provider scheduling coordination, QGenda administration, and access/utilization reporting for Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center providers and ancillary services, with the goal of maximizing access to and utilization of Cancer Center services. This includes direct communication and presenting status and utilization reports to physicians, practice leadership, and Cancer Center administration. The Cancer Center Access & Capacity Analyst collaborates with Cancer Center leadership, the Access Center outbound team, and clinic staff to coordinate scheduling, support new patient access workflows, and train staff on scheduling processes while exceeding customers’ expectations.   • Three (3) years’ experience with scheduling systems (e.g., Epic Cadence, QGenda) in a practice, cancer center, or access center environment.
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills, with the ability to translate scheduling and utilization data into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates provider scheduling across all Cancer Center system clinics, partnering with Cancer Center departmental and physician leadership to align scheduling capacity with patient demand.
  • Administers QGenda for all Cancer Center providers, including schedule builds, provider time-off and unavailability entries, and integration with Epic Cadence provider schedules.
  • Resolves scheduling conflicts and access issues in real time, serving as the Cancer Center’s primary point of contact for provider scheduling error questions and escalations.
  • Supports new patient access workflows, partnering with Cancer Center leadership and the Access Center to reduce time-to-first-appointment and improve the new patient intake experience.
  • Monitors provider schedule utilization and demand trends across Cancer Center clinics, flagging capacity issues and opportunities for the clinic and template teams to address.
  • Present utilization and access data to Cancer Center leadership and physician stakeholders to inform capacity decisions and identify trends.
  • Trains Cancer Center and Access Center outbound team staff on scheduling processes, tools, and standard workflows, serving as a go-to resource for scheduling-related questions.
  • Works collaboratively with Cancer Center leadership, physicians, and the Access Center team to enhance patient access and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
  • Exhibits sensitivity to patient health information and protection of confidentiality. Maintains privacy at all times for patient and employee information.
  • Attends regular Cancer Center access meetings to represent scheduling coordination and capacity priorities.
  • Enhances the reputation of the Cancer Center by fostering ownership and personal responsibility for exceeding patient service expectations through accountability for actions and decisions, setting a positive example to peers, coworkers, departments and patients.
  • Promotes a positive and productive environment, supporting teamwork and communication.
  • Works cooperatively in a team environment and supports organizational changes to ensure the success of the Cancer Center.
  • Demonstrates compliance with Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center Customer Service and Performance Standards. Meets Rush’s Customer Service standards as determined through audits or monitoring activities.
