Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, seeks an Oncological Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive behavioral health services within the Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role integrates with oncology to address emotional and psychiatric aspects of cancer care and survivorship.

The physician will collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and social workers to support treatment adherence and patient well-being, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry required.
• Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred.
• Experience with cancer patients preferred.
• Ability to be licensed in the State of Florida required.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team to treat cancer patients.
• Manage psychiatric symptoms caused by cancer treatments (e.g., mood changes, delirium, cognitive effects).
• Help patients process stress, anxiety, and depression and improve coping strategies.
• Support treatment adherence and quality of life for patients and families.
