Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System's Cancer Care KUCC East in Lee's Summit is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II. In this role, you will perform sterile compounding of cancer medications in clean rooms, assist with daily cleaning, stock supplies, calibrate equipment, and scan orders into EPIC to ensure accuracy.

You will manage ADS and inventory, place and receive drug orders, ensure proper NDCs, and maintain transfer records between pharmacy locations, while upholding safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2+ years as a pharmacy technician in a similar setting or 18+ months at KU Health System.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration in KS and/or MO; maintain CPhT certification.
• Preferred: Advanced CPhT or CSPT certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medications for dispensing, including basic and advanced sterile compounds.
• Distributes medications and stocks ADS machines with high accuracy.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory and reviews patient schedules for orders.
• Operates pharmacy computer systems and follows safety standards.
• Maintains records and supports regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Communicates with patients and staff to resolve routine service concerns.
• Reports safety events and escalates issues as needed.
