Job summary

You will contribute to projects identifying surrogate endpoints for overall survival, developing prognostic models, and conducting Bayesian meta-analyses, with opportunities to publish in peer‑reviewed journals.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Statistics or Biostatistics required.
• Solid training in statistical methods.
• Experience analyzing clinical trial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong programming skills in R.
• Proficiency working within UNIX/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investigators from Duke University and external organizations on cancer research projects.
• Identify and validate surrogate endpoints of overall survival using data from cancer clinical trials and registries.
• Develop and evaluate prognostic models for clinical outcomes in cancer.
• Conduct meta-analyses using Bayesian statistical frameworks.
• Develop innovative statistical methodologies related to clinical trial design and high‑dimensional data.
• Analyze complex clinical datasets and communicate findings to scientific collaborators.
• Contribute to the preparation and publication of research findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
