Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Baraboo, Wisconsin is seeking a Summer 2027 intern to join the Tech Services Team. The role supports daily functions, contributes to ongoing projects, and improves efficiency at the Baraboo location.

Responsibilities include assisting R&D activities, organizing test packs, and supporting quality and food-safety initiatives under the BRC Packaging Standard framework. Strong communication and Excel skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with R & D activities involving alternative can coating materials, steel substrate thickness, and material tempers.
• Prepare, organize, and evaluate test packs used to assess shelf life, product compatibility, material performance, and runnability.
• Label, track, and maintain accurate records of test pack samples in accordance with established processes.
• Assist with the evaluation of customer quality complaints, including organizing and logging incoming complaint samples.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing development of BRC Packaging Standards at the Baraboo facility.
• Work closely with Technical, Quality, and other facility personnel to support continuous improvement and food safety initiatives.
