Job summary

Chesterman Company, an independent Coca-Cola Bottler in Sioux City, Iowa, seeks a full‑time operator for the can line with backup duties on the bottle line. The role involves learning and running machinery, monitoring palletizers, and keeping the work area clean and safe.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00pm to 2:00am, with weekend and extended hours as needed. Training provided; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs required; English communication essential.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read, speak and write in English to communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not required (on‑the‑job training provided).
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate and shut down the can line.
• Back up on the bottle line as needed and monitor equipment.
• Watch operation of palletizers and maintain clean work area.
• Follow safety rules and protect product quality.

Work as a backup on the bottle line as needed.Duties/Responsibilities:Must be able to learn and operate all machinery on the can line and bottle lineWatch operation of palletizersOperate the can line filler/seamer safely and efficiently.Operate the Hicone, tray maker and the multi-packer effectively and efficientlyKeep multipacker runningChange over productsWatch for crushed and down bottlesKeep floor area clean and picked upAble to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedEducation/Experience:High-School Diploma/GEDNo experience necessary – on the job training is performedRequired Skills/Abilities:Communication SkillsDexterity SkillsProblem Solving SkillsMust be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers and to operate equipment.Work Environment: Works in a warehouse.
