Job summary

FedEx Canada in Owen Sound (YOCA) invites applications for a Casual Flex Driver to help ensure timely delivery of packages on defined routes. You will review orders, load/unload the vehicle and deliver to our client base while providing exceptional customer service.

Flexible shift opportunities will be determined by business requirements, with start times Mon–Sat and up to 40 hours per week. A high school diploma and a valid G license are required; bilingual ability in Quebec is an asset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Must have a valid full G license / Class 5 driver’s license.
• Preference for 1 year of customer-oriented business experience.

This is an interview position.

To ensure timely delivery of packages to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, load/unload vehicle and provide exceptional customer service to our client base.

Flexible shift opportunities (min and max hours, days of work parameters will be determined based on business requirements).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Post Secondary:

• High school diploma/educational equivalent.

Professional accreditation/certification:

• Must have a valid full G license / Class 5 driver\'s license.

Other specific mandatory experience requirements

• In the province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English)

Technical Skill Requirements

• Solid knowledge of the following:
• Must achieve minimum threshold on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training
• Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
• Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations an asset.

Interpersonal Skill Requirements

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, handle stress and work in a highly pressured environment

Qualifications Requises: Shift: Monday to Saturday: Start Times: Monday 9:30 am, Tuesday to Friday 10:30 am, Saturday 8:00 am. Our Flex Driver role permits you to select shifts up to 8 hours in length, over a 6-day period, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. ***Must be Available to work on Monday & Saturday Shifts*** Must Have a Full Valid Class G License. G2 NOT ACCEPTABLE
