Incedo is seeking a seasoned Camunda Lead / Architect to design and implement large-scale BPM solutions for financial services. The role requires 10+ years in software engineering and 5+ years hands-on Camunda (7/8), in cloud-native environments, with focus on account opening and advisor applications.

You will lead architecture governance, define SAD/SDD, review designs, and mentor global delivery teams while ensuring security, compliance, and scalable performance.

Role Summary We are seeking a seasoned Camunda Lead / Architect with deep expertise in designing and implementing large-scale workflow and BPM solutions in financial services environments. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Camunda (preferably Camunda 7 and/or Camunda 8) in cloud-native architectures. This role will lead solution design, architecture governance, and global delivery teams to build scalable, resilient BPM workflows—specifically supporting Account Opening and Advisor Applications in a regulated financial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Leadership & Architecture
  • Engage with business and technology stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Define end‑to‑end solution architecture for BPM-driven cloud applications.
  • Create and review:
    • Solution Architecture Documents (SAD)
    • System Design Documents (SDD)
    • High-Level and Low-Level Designs
  • Provide architecture governance and conduct design/code reviews.
• Camunda Implementation & BPM Design
  • Design and build scalable BPMN workflows using Camunda for:
  • Account opening processes
  • Advisor onboarding and related financial workflows
  • Implement orchestration logic, service integrations, and event-driven workflows.
  • Design reusable workflow components and decision models (DMN).
  • Ensure performance optimization and scalability at large scale deployments.
• Cloud & Application Architecture
  • Architect cloud-native solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Design microservices-based integrations around Camunda.
  • Ensure secure, compliant, and resilient architecture aligned with financial regulations.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead distributed global engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Drive estimation, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
  • Ensure quality, scalability, and production readiness.
• Client Engagement
  • Act as the primary technical interface with client stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Communicate architectural decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience in software engineering and architecture.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience implementing enterprise-scale solutions using Camunda.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience implementing enterprise-scale solutions using .Net, Java or Python.
• Strong experience in financial services (banking, wealth management, capital markets, fintech).
• Deep expertise in:
  • BPMN 2.0
  • DMN
  • Workflow orchestration
  • REST-based microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong understanding of secure application design in regulated environments.
• Experience building high-volume, mission-critical workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Camunda 8 (SaaS / Self-Managed).
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent).
• Knowledge of account opening and advisor platforms in wealth management.
• Experience leading offshore/onshore hybrid teams.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD automation, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
