Job summary

Galent in Dallas, TX is seeking an entry-level Camunda Workflow Automation Engineer to join our financial services delivery team. You will work under guidance to develop and test workflow solutions using Camunda BPM, BPMN, DMN, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1–3 years of enterprise software development and workflow automation experience.

• Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot for business process automation.
• Exposure to REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and testing concepts.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with stakeholders.

Job Purpose

We are looking for Camunda Workflow Automation Engineers who will support the delivery of process orchestration and workflow automation solutions for our financial services clients. The team leverages Camunda BPM, BPMN, DMN, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies to modernize enterprise business processes and enable end-to-end automation. This is an entry-level, hands‑on role where you will build your skills across the full delivery lifecycle under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

Your Key Responsibilities

The goal is to help clients solve complex business problems by delivering scalable, reliable, and highly automated workflow solutions. You will assist with analysis, development, testing, and support, learn the team’s tools and standards, and contribute to assigned workstreams under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

Skills and attributes for success

Foundational knowledge of Camunda BPM, BPMN, and DMN, with support from experienced colleagues.

Foundational knowledge of Java and Spring Boot services supporting business process automation.

Foundational knowledge of REST API integration and relational databases.

Foundational understanding of workflow automation, process orchestration, and testing concepts.

Assist with workflow development, integration, testing, and support tasks, and contribute to assigned workstreams.

Learn and apply the team’s code quality, security, testing, and automation standards.

Eagerness to learn new and rapidly changing technologies.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
• A minimum of 1 year and up to 3 years of relevant experience in enterprise software development and workflow automation.
• Exposure to Camunda BPM, BPMN 2.0, or similar workflow technologies.
• Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot services supporting business process automation.
• Exposure to REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and testing concepts.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
