Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Camunda Architect / Lead with a strong Java development background to design, develop, and lead enterprise workflow and business process automation solutions using Camunda in South Carolina.

This onsite role requires hands-on Camunda BPM, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices, plus the ability to provide technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, and collaboration with business teams to translate requirements into scalable workflow solutions.

Qualifications

• Camunda BPM expertise including Camunda 7 or 8.
• Strong Java/J2EE development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Proven ability to design enterprise workflow/automation solutions.
• Strong architecture, troubleshooting, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of Camunda-based workflow and BPM solutions.
• Design scalable, highly available process automation architectures.
• Develop and integrate applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into workflow solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentoring.
• Drive best practices around workflow design, integration, deployment, and performance.
